ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the CT enterography(CTE)of Crohn's disease (CD)in active state and catabatic state by using the Logistic regression analysis. Methods 6 2 patients with CD diagnosed by clinic, imaging, endoscopy, surgery or pathology were analyzed retrospectively. The CTE features of CD in active state and catabatic state were recorded and compared by using single factor and multiple stepwise Logistic regression analysis, and the Logistic regression model was established. Results There were 62 patients with CD, including 40 in active state and 22 in catabatic state. There were significant differences between the bowel wall thickness, the CT value in arterial phase as well as in portal venous phase, the type of enhancement pattern, pseudodiverticulum of free margin, increased mesenteric fat density, comb sign, enlarged abdominal lymph nodes and cellulitis in active state and those in catabatic state of CD by using single factor analysis (P<0.05).The bowel wall thickness (OR=4.589,95%CI:1.689-11.822),bowel wall uniformity enhancement (OR=0.006, 95%CI:0.001-0.067 )and comb sign(OR=23.112,95%CI:1.707-312.997)were significant features by using Logistic regression analysis. Conclusion The bowel wall thickness, bowel wall uniformity enhancement and comb sign are the independent characteristic CTE features to predict the CD in active state or in catabatic state. The Logistic regression model is helpful in demonstrating the state of CD.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate better heating and thermal insulation methods of enteral nutrition solution by comparing different thermal insulation devices. Methods A total of 90 patients with continuous enteral nutrition support, in accordance with the random number table, were divided into 3 groups. Enteral nutrition solution was heated by three different methods. It included the heating infusion thermostat, the heating nutrition pump and the heating special insulation using medical liquid bag device, and to comparatively observe the temperature of nutrition solution of three groups in the nasal feeding tube before infusion finish, in addition, to comparatively observe adverse reaction in course of enteral nutrition support and calculate the cost of heating device. Results The percentage of nutrition solution with temperature during 35-40 ℃, the incidence rate of adverse reaction and the cost of heating device in the heating special insulation using medical liquid bag device was 100.00%( 30/30), 6.67%(2/30) and 1837.23 yuan while the heating infusion thermostat was 73.33%( 22/30), 33.33%(10/30) and 2079.46 yuan, and the heating nutrition pump was 0, 26.67% (8/30) and 2007.05 yuan. The difference among three heating devices was statistically significant (Z=48.50, P =0.000; χ2=6.69, P=0.038; F=17.87, P=0.000). Conclusions The heating special insulation using medical liquid bag device is good insulation effect, low cost and easy to handle, and is worth being popularized.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy using curette and stripping wire method in treating diabetic foot. Methods 36 hospitalized patients diagnosed as diabetic foot were enrolled, and 18 of them were chosen as the experimental group according to random digital table method who was treated with medical therapy plus curette and stripping wire method in treating diabetic foot. The other 18 patients were named as the control group who were treated by medical treatment and routine treatment. The granulation tissue maturity, wound healing, and the differences on curative effect were compared. Results 10 cases′wound granulation tissue maturity in the experimental group got++and+++on the 10th day while 4 cases in control group. Wound healing rate of the experimental group at the 10th and 14th day were (78.6±10.5)%and (82.7±8.4)%while the control group were (43.2±8.7)%and (66.2±10.1)%. Cure rate of the experimental group was 14/18 four weeks after treatment, the inefficiency was 0, while the control group was 6/18 and 3/18. Conclusions Curette and stripping wire method is a good method to promote the dressing diabetic foot wound healing. It is superior to traditional methods, worthy of clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the relationship between mental status and some physical indicators,so as to identify the influencing factors of anxiety and depression in health check-up populations. Methods A total of 3885 health check-up adults enrolled in this investigation.Self-rating anxiety scale (SAS),self-rating depression scale (SDS),and Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL90) were used to evaluate mental health of the participants.Physical indicators, including body mass index (BMI),systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure (DBP),triglyceride (TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),serum free three iodine armour gland original acid (FT5),serum free thyroxine (FT4),and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH),were retrospectively reviewed.Pearson correlation analysis was used to assess the relationship between mental health and physical signs, and the Logistic regression analysis was performed to confirm the influencing factors of anxiety and depression. Results Increased prevalence of anxiety and depression was found in females or those with lower education level. For the health check-up populations, anxiety and depression were negatively correlated to BMI,SBP,DBP,LDL-C,FT3 and FT4.In Logistic regression analysis,LDL-C,FT3 and FT4 were related to SDS score, while SBP,FT3,and FT4 were related to SAS score. Conclusion Our data suggest that emotion could be affected by gender and education level; SBP,LDL-C,FT3,and FT4 may be protective factors of anxiety and depression.
